Wow. There are a lot of coworking spaces in D.C. these days. Need proof? Look no further than this new map from the Washington, DC Economic Partnership.
The Partnership recently updated its coworking space map from August 2015, adding over 20 new spaces and bringing the total count to over 70. This time, the map also includes a separate tab for food incubators.
Not only does the new map show growth in the sector over the past year or so, it’s also an interesting meditation on the geography of this particular service within the city. Coworking spaces are still largely centered around downtown and within the north west quadrant of the city, though increasingly trendy NE neighborhoods like H Street are getting in on the game too. Save for just a handful of options, the SE and SW quadrants of the District are coworking space deserts.
