Technical.ly Delaware’s home base, The Mill, is joining up with the Tapp Network to celebrate Women’s History Month with a series of talks that combines some of the area’s top influencers with some of the top woman-owned restaurants and catering startups.
Starting this Thursday with a breakfast and continuing every Thursday (and one Friday) through March 29, topics will include business, marketing, arts, education and legislation:
- Thursday, March 8, from 10 to 11 a.m — Join Tamarra Morris, director of economic development for New Castle County Government, and Jessica Gibson, director of the Women Business Center at First State Community Loan Fund, to talk about public advocacy and other topics over breakfast by Chef ThugLife.
- Thursday March 14, at 12 p.m. — Meet Katie Everett, founder and president of Katalyst Productions, an award winning, cause-centric communications and events agency based in Philadelphia, over lunch by Mamma Mia.
- Thursday March 21, at 12 p.m. — Learn how to make a meaningful impact on your community with Jennifer Walters-Michalec, who is the community affairs manager for Capital One, board member of Philanthropy Delaware and the Delaware Business Roundtable Education Committee, board president for TeenSHARP, and cofounder of the Delaware Bankers Association’s Women Connect. Lunch will be served by Honey Bee.
- Thursday March 28, at 12 p.m. — Join Katherine Page, the Gretchen Hupfel curator of contemporary art at The Delaware Contemporary to talk about the arts over lunch by Chef ThugLife.
- Friday March 29, at 12 p.m. — Chat with State Senator Tizzy Lockman about education reform and other local issues, with snacks provided by Cajun-Sno.
