A company called Certiport, which helps people earn IT certifications, has worked with Brooklyn Technical High School to help its students attain Autodesk Inventor certifications. The company made the video below to illustrate what they are doing at the high school:

  • Students are designing parts and then making them using 3D printers.
  • Instructors describe students learning about Autodesk technology much earlier than other engineering students would.
  • Brooklyn Tech administrators describe how their technical advisory boards have encouraged the school to get its student certified in Autodesk Inventor.

The video says that the skills students at Brooklyn Tech demonstrate by attaining Autodesk certification in high school puts them on par with college age engineering interns and entry level staff.
