True Access Capital is seeking apps for its H.E.R. Business Plan Competition

Does your woman-owned business — or at least 51% woman-owned for businesses with multiple partners — need funding to grow? True Access Capital is looking for business plan submissions for its H.E.R. (Helping Entrepreneurship Rise) Business Plan Competition.

True Access Capital is a community development financial institution, or CDFI, that offers entrepreneurs in Delaware and southeastern Pennsylvania technical expertise and access to capital. The org has a focus on helping women, minorities and those underserved by traditional lenders.

Through the competition, one winner will receive $10,000 and two will win $5,000 each, with the winners announced by True Access Capital’s Annual Meeting on Oct. 28.

The competition is for women aged 18 and up with a for-profit businesses that are licensed in the state of Delaware and have been in operation for at least a year. To apply, you’ll need to polish your up-to-eight-page business plan (including year to date financial statements and one-year projected cash flow statement with assumptions) polish and submit it with your online application by Sept. 17.

H.E.R. includes optional business plan advisement at the True Access Capital Women’s Business Center.
