As esports become a true professional sport with college scholarship potential, a few local orgs are coming together to offer an 18-and-under Open Play Game Night in conjunction with Microsoft.

WIN Factory member Influencers Lab Media and Futures First Gaming are coming together with youth coding school Coderrific Academy for the March 14 event, to be held at the WIN Factory at 300 MLK Jr. Blvd. in Wilmington from 5 to 9 p.m.

In addition to open play gaming (and a lounge area for parents), the event will offer information about educational and career development pathways in science and technology disciplines, including learning about about Coderrific Academy’s courses in Scratch, Javascript and Python.

In related news, Coderrific Academy is currently looking for a Python instructor. Interested applicants can upload their resumes on the Coderrific website.

Open Play Game Night is free with limited seating. Registration required.
