AG Matt Denn sends message to Delaware students after a volatile summer

“Be kind and respectful.” That’s the bottom line of Attorney General Matt Denn’s back-to-school message for Delaware students.
Not exactly groundbreaking stuff, but as the school year starts in the midst of the racially charged aftermath of Charlottesville, it comes off as almost a plea.

Denn, who recently announced that he will not be running for reelection next term, stressed that there will be consequences for bullying, both in school and online.
The focus on cyberbullying as a school issue has increased in the last couple of years. Delaware schools utilize the anti-cyberbullying program NetSmartz, thanks to the work of the Beau Biden Foundation.
