The weather was mercifully cooler than the string of high-90s days that preceded Tuesday’s Super Meetup — just one of the things that made the event a networking success, despite a few drops of rain here and there.
A dozen Meetup groups converged, including that of Zip Code Wilmington, Open Data Delaware and Barrel of Makers, as well as businesses big and small seeking employees from the pool of Wilmington’s innovators. The event drew over 100 attendees to the plaza in front of the Hercules Building.
Super Meetup had a bit of an outdoor festival vibe, with free beer (from Nick Matarese’s Dew Point Brewing, courtesy of drink sponsor 1313 Innovation), a food truck, lots of laid-back summer networking and even a tarot card reader.

Did you get some free early-stage financing advice for your startup (and a wine koozie — who knew wine koozies were even a thing) from Saul Ewing? Talk to a BlackRock recruiter? Consider what’s possible if you learn software development from Zip Code? Is there something you wish the Super Meetup had that it didn’t? Let us know in the comments!
