Framebridge is picking up some interior design expertise (and funding) from one of the most recognizable faces in the field.
Interior designer Nate Berkus joined the D.C. custom framing company as creative advisor. He also invested an undisclosed sum into the company.
In a tweet, Framebridge said it was “probably the biggest news we’ve ever had.” That’s no small feat considering the company recently raised a $16.7 million Series B and got a nod from The New York Times.
We have news. Big News. Probably the biggest news we've ever had. Welcome interior design icon @nateberkus as @framebridge's new Creative Advisor. https://t.co/aQ6eDH3naa pic.twitter.com/VuctRT3gwQ

Berkus is well-known around interior design circles, and has built up a wider following through appearances on the Oprah Winfrey Show and his own TV series. It’s clear he’s already a Framebridge fan.
“They have the chicest frame options + make custom framing so ridiculously easy…it’s genius,” Berkus tweeted.
In the role, Berkus will help the company develop new offerings, and work with the team on strategy and partnerships.
“Nate has genuinely found a way to make high style and impeccable design accessible to everyone, which of course is the motivation behind Framebridge,” Framebridge founder Susan Tynan said in a statement. “He will help Framebridge reach more people through incredible product offerings and a powerful message about framing the meaningful items that tell your story.
The company’s platform allows customers to create a frame, upload photos and preview different styles. It’s then created at one of the company’s facilities in Lanham, Md., and Kentucky, and shipped.
