Milestone anniversaries, national conferences, startup acquisitions and layoffs all marked a storied year for innovation.

Philadelphia showed off its strength as a tech ecosystem in 2024. 

Between milestone anniversaries for community organizations and multiple national conferences choosing Philly as its host city, the region had many opportunities to bring people into the fold. 

And it went beyond just locally. There were also opportunities to show off to orgs from outside the region through programs like EDA Tech Hubs and the Startup World Cup. The startup economy faced shakeups, too, amid major acquisitions and layoffs.
