Maryland Gov.-elect Larry Hogan will join previously-announced speaker Buck Showalter at the Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore’s annual meeting later this month.
Hogan will deliver opening remarks and introduce the Baltimore Orioles skipper, earlier announced as the keynote guest for the event on Dec. 17 at the Hilton Baltimore, according to an EAGB release.
Both men are coming off pretty good years — Hogan became just the third Republican elected governor in Maryland in the past half-century, while Showalter led the Orioles through injuries and suspensions to run away with the American League East division title before falling in the American League Championship Series to the Kansas City Royals.
The theme of this year’s meeting is leadership, teamwork and nurturing a culture of winning. Besides hearing from Hogan and Showalter, attendees will also get the first chance to review the organization’s 2014 Greater Baltimore Regional Report.
Tickets remain available for $150 through the EAGB’s website.
