With growth comes opportunity, and that’s exactly what PromptWorks has in store for Philly technologists.
Next month, the software consultancy that turns client ideas into custom-made digital projects will be movin’ on up to an 8,000-square-foot space — from its current 3,000-square-foot digs — at 123 S. Broad St. The new location will accommodate the growth of its team in and outside of software, including new roles in project management, QA and design. It also comes with sweeping 24th floor views of City Hall and a variety of workspaces to satisfy every work style, from collaborative brainstorm hubs to library-inspired quiet zones.
What won’t change is PromptWorks’ internal culture and work ethic, which was carefully crafted by the engineers who brought the company to life in 2013. To encourage collaboration and knowledge building, PromptWorks uses techniques like pair programming and events such as “Talk Tuesdays.” Employees are also given non-billable work time each week to work on a project of their choosing that will lead to growth and learning that they can pass on to the rest of the company.
Passionate about giving back to the Philadelphia tech community and invested in improving its diversity of applicants, PromptWorks organizes and participates in a vast range of local events focused on education and building access to the industry.
