Enradius acquires Frederick-based digital marketing firm

The move to bring in Changeup Marketing helps the Mt. Vernon–based agency expand clients in D.C.

Enradius, an agency that specializes in geo-targeted advertising and marketing, said it acquired Frederick-based Changeup Marketing this week. Terms were not disclosed.
The deal adds 10-month-old Changeup Marketing’s client base for Mt. Vernon–based Enradius, and broadens its capabilities to include brand strategy, social and multimedia.
“This was a natural fit for Enradius. Our growing portfolio of clients now have in-house support from Changeup’s marketing experts,” Enradius CEO David Carberry said in a statement. “This acquisition expands our service to clients in the greater Washington, D.C. area, while also enhancing our social media services.”
It also adds two employees. That includes Changeup Marketing owner Kelly Jarvis, who is now the Chief Revenue Officer of Enradius.
“Kelly’s energy, enthusiasm, and expertise will help us provide in-depth local digital marketing to our growing account base in the Baltimore region and across the country,” Carberry said.
It’s the first acquisition for three-year-old Enradius, which moved to an office in Mt. Vernon from Ellicott City in 2015. The company now has 17 employees, and also has offices in Washington, D.C., Philly and Detroit.
The agency’s initial technology helps businesses target ads to appear on people’s phones within specific geographic areas.
