Adashi Systems is helping first responders go paperless

Adashi Systems is rolling out a new product to serve local governments and hopefully shorten their sales cycle.
The ETC-based company provides tech solutions to public safety agencies.
“It’s anything from the dispatch firefighters go on and we show you maps where you’re going, to helping emergency managers with pre-plans, incident management, and commander control units,” said Adashi Systems CEO Alex Menkes. “We allow them to do all this so in big emergencies we make them effective in a way they’re not only saving their lives but also the public’s.”
But Menkes said the red tape involved in getting a product approved and bought by a local government can be upwards of 18 months. So Menkes and his team looked to create a new product for the administrative side of public safety.
RollCall is what Menkes calls a simple way to manage scheduling. The platform monitors staffing levels, automates overtime hiring, and tracks vacation and sick time. A talk with their customer, officials from the Seattle Police Department, solidified the theory that RollCall could fix a real problem.
“When they heard about RollCall they told us they were doing this work by paper for 1,500 people, that’s an incredible amount of work,” Menkes said. “We can replace all of that work with this application.”
At the Fire Department Instructor’s conference earlier this year, Menkes said interest was high for RollCall and he said the sales cycle for the product could be just a month, compared to a year and a half for Adashi’s other products.
“This will be a huge change for us. This is much easier because RollCall is not sexy, it’s a real practical application that you need,” he said. “When we get the interest for RollCall then they ask about our other products.”
