After a run through late summer and fall, a department store for Baltimore makers is back to satisfy all your holiday shopping needs.
The new Made in Baltimore Pop-Up Shop will be at Women’s Exchange (333 N. Charles St.), and this time it will be named “Holiday Delights.”
Like the original in Station North, the latest shop will include goods from 90 Baltimore-based businesses, who make clothing, furniture, textiles, accessories and more. The idea is to show that, when taken together, Baltimore’s small businesses can be a viable economic development path for the city. It also comes amid a flurry of new makerspaces, from Under Armour’s new campus to Open Works in Station North.
“We want a diverse ecosystem of small manufacturers in Baltimore,” organizer Andy Cook of the Industrial Arts Collective told us in August.
The opening is on Nov. 20. After that, the shop will be open Friday from 4-7 p.m., and during the day on Saturdays and Sundays, through Dec. 27. It will also be open during the Monument Lighting on Dec. 3.
