An app that facilitates booze delivery is getting set to ramp up operations in Southeast Baltimore.
As part of a beta test, Brewber is offering alcohol delivery without a fee in the Canton, Harbor East, Fells Point and Patterson Park area this weekend, July 31-Aug. 2.
When we caught up with cofounder Jon Robinson earlier this year, he said the app was basically finished. But since then, the company has switched partnering liquor stores to Bo Brooks Lighthouse Liquors.
Delivery is available from 2-9 p.m., Friday through Sunday.

For this test run, the app is available for iPhone. Robinson said Brewber is in the midst of a redesign that will also make it available on Android when it launches.

Brewber already has competition in the booze delivery app market in Southeast Baltimore. Earlier this year, Boston-based startup Drizly also launched in Baltimore. The startup has an existing partnership with Canton Crossing Wine and Spirits.
