There’s $25,000 on the line at this weekend’s public safety mobile app hackathon at the 1776 incubator in Washington, D.C.
AT&T is teaming up with the Department of Homeland Security, Google, McAfee and several other groups to build apps that will help first-responders and other public safety officials respond more quickly to accidents and emergencies.
Registration is free and will remain open until 5 p.m. today.
The hackathon begins Saturday at 6:30 p.m. Awards will be presented Sunday night at 8.
