Charles Village resident Jen DuMars has been recording Baltimore city life through her camera lens for the last two years. The result is a Flickr gallery of photos she calls the Urban Diary.
As DuMars said to the Atlantic Cities, the project is “what my obsessive shooting of the everyday became when I moved to Baltimore.”

DuMars’ Urban Diary, however, includes more than just photographs of Charles Village. There are shots of the Phoenix Shot Tower and the Inner Harbor, as well as photos of Hampden and street art in and around Station North — including several of the murals painted throughout Station North as part of Open Walls Baltimore.
