As of Friday, complimentary WiFi is available in the plaza just outside Penn Station.
Called Baltimore City WiFi, the connection is provided by Believe Wireless Broadband — also responsible for Internet service at Lexington Market — and paid for by the Mayor’s Office of Information Technology.
“We wanted to provide access to people coming and going and just relaxing in the area outside of Penn Station,” said city CIO Chris Tonjes. “It is the first project in our efforts to provide additional public Internet access.”
