who’s getting funded?
Videology, with offices in Baltimore, has raised $60 million in Series D funding, according to Adweek. The advertising technology company works with publishers to manage web and mobile video campaigns. In August, the company acquired Collider Media.
Catalyst IT Services, based in Otterbein, has raised $150,000 in equity, according to SEC filings. The IT services company uses analytics to assemble teams of software developers for its clients.
who’s making moves?
Virginia-based NetAbstraction has signed a partnership agreement with cybersecurity startup Light Point Security, based from the Cyber Incubator@bwtech inside the UMBC Research and Technology Park. Light Point, which makes cloud-based web-browsing software that allows people to surf the Internet via a virtual machine, will be NetAbstraction’s web browsing provider.
EdTech startup An Estuary has released the alpha version of Sanderling, a “field journal” for teachers to document daily classroom pedagogy that was effective, and to share that information with school administrators, in an effort to improve teachers’ professional development with the help of mobile technology.
