Uber is in Baltimore.
Technically Baltimore first reported on Uber’s expansion to Baltimore in October. The on-demand car service allows users to hire private cars and pay for rides through a mobile app linked to a credit card.
As of Tuesday afternoon, Scott Burkholder, in charge of the business operations behind the Baltimore LOVE Project, became Uber Baltimore’s “Rider Zero,” according to the startup’s blog.
For now, Uber remains in soft-launch mode in Baltimore, with an official launch coming later this month.
