Thanks to an $11,000 grant from retail chain Target, the Ferndale Early Education Center in Anne Arundel County will be purchasing iPads for student use.
According to the Maryland Gazette, the money “will be used to purchase 15 iPads, a MacBook Pro laptop and a cart that syncs and charges the devices. All will be used in the school’s Improving Reading Readiness Skills through Technology project.”
“For three-, four-, and five-year olds to have iPads in their hands will only help to build the confidence and technological skills needed as a 21st century learner,” said Ferndale principal Lisa Rice in a press release.
