Baltimore City CIO Rico Singleton is out.
An investigation into Singleton’s former IT office in New York state government found a raft of alleged abuses of power, including getting a job for his girlfriend and private business with a private company that won state contracts.

In December 2010, just as the investigation was beginning, Singleton left his role in Albany for the top tech job in Baltimore, a role that was aimed at being an innovative cornerstone for Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake. (See a Q&A with Singleton from 2011 here)
