Humblee accepted into R/GA and Snap venture program

The video startup is getting $120,000 in funding and some big-name partners.

Exactly one year after winning the Make It In BK pitch competition, video platform Humblee found itself in less-than-humble environs, pitching in Cannes at the invite of Snap, Inc.

The reason? The startup was just accepted into an incubator of sorts which is run jointly by Snap, ad agency R/GA (startups will be based at the R/GA office ) and Interpublic.

The program is meant to “explore what the next wave of marketing technology will be, given the prominence of social platforms and mobile engagement alongside the rise of AI, bots, and other analytics and personalization enabling technologies,” according to Fast Company.

With video becoming a major part of companies’ branding strategy online, Humblee is on the front lines of content creation.

“We take brands’ unused assets and transforming them to social videos within 3 days using technology along with a tightly curated network of editors & motion graphics artists,” cofounder Aneri Shah wrote in an email from Cannes.

In January, we rated Humblee as one of the top 20 startups in Brooklyn.

Each of the eight startups chosen to participate received $120,000 in funding as well as strategy help and mentorship from R/GA and Snap. The program ends Sept. 27 with an invite-only demo day.
