They are words any self-respecting Brooklynite longs to hear: A new way to utilize kombucha.

“In this bioart papermaking course you will explore a new way to utilize kombucha.”

Downtown Brooklyn biohacker space Genspace will be holding a workshop Sunday, April 2 on how to grow your own paper out of kombucha. It’s called Kombucha Papermaking: Grow Your Own Paper and tickets are $50.

“It is not only a great source of probiotics—it can also grow a renewable art material!” the event’s invite reads. “Participants will grow paper from a living kombucha culture.”
