The Cordish Companies is entering a multi-year partnership with Lyft to provide ridesharing services at entertainment spots such as Baltimore’s Power Plant Live!
Through the partnership, Lyft will become the “exclusive ride share provider for Cordish” at developments in five cities. Along with the Inner Harbor nightlife spot, that list also includes XFinity Live! in Philly, Fourth Street Live! in Louisville, Ky., Waterside District in Norfolk, Va., and Power Plant at Hampton Roads in Hampton, Va. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We are incredibly excited to announce this national, multi-year partnership with Lyft,” Reed Cordish, Principal at The Cordish Companies, said in a statement. “Lyft is one of the most successful rideshare companies in the country. This partnership ensures the safety and convenience of our millions of guests is met at the highest standards.”
Baltimore-based Cordish Companies said the districts centered around sports, dining and nightlife host 50 million visitors a year. In Baltimore, Power Plant Live! is also home to coworking space at Spark Baltimore and offices populated by tech companies, making it an entrepreneurial destination, as well.
Lyft will provide transportation to each district. Locally, Lyft’s Baltimore office has touted the importance of business partnership agreements that have resulted in designated pickup spots. With the national scope of this deal, the companies said further details on what the rideshare setup will look like at each district will be announced in the coming months.
