It’s time to meet Philly’s most up-and-coming companies of the year.
Technical.ly’s annual RealLIST Startups recognizes the region’s top early-stage companies on track for continued growth.
This year’s list represents a variety of industries, from biotech companies developing treatments for common diseases to tech platforms building the circular economy. The honorees exemplify Philadelphia’s strength as a market with a diverse range of sectors.

We curate the list by combing through our past reporting and soliciting nominations from the general public. Then, we send the nominees a survey to gather more information about their products, their impact and recent wins.
The honorees include companies that were founded within the past 3 years and have not undergone a significant exit event. You can check out past list members from 2025, 2024, 2023 and beyond.
Once we identify the top companies, we rank them 1 through 10 based on factors like fundraising, incubator and accelerator participation and founders with a proven track record. We also include a list of 10 honorable mentions.
