Why, it feels as though Zach Phillips began creating his compelling podcast Remaking Murdertown just yesterday. The project of his new Short Order Production House wrapped up its first season this week. The wrap party took place at World Cafe Live at the Queen on Monday with lead sponsor the Delaware Center for Justice.
The final episode of the four-part series explores the stages of violent decision-making, trauma and poverty. We hear about the experience of a man named Ricky Reyes, who had just gotten out of the hospital, and was dealing with the aftermath of being shot. He wanted street justice for the shooter, but the man was put behind bars before Ricky could find him.
