Health for America fellowship moves from Wilmington to DC

Now in its third iteration, this year’s Health for America fellows will be working out of D.C. coworking space 1776. The previous team of fellows, which founded Meerkat Health, worked out of Wilmington’s coIN Loft.
Late last month, we reported that Meerkat Health founders Ellen Kourakos and Megan Caldwell have moved to D.C. to help facilitate the HFA transition. Kourakos and Caldwell will continue to develop their product — a scale that helps congestive heart failure patients detect symptoms — here in Delaware.
In collaboration with the MedStar Diabetes Institute, this year’s fellows will be looking to develop a solution to make type 2 diabetes treatment and patient care more efficient.
