It’s that time of year again, folks, when we throw kudos to the local and regional companies receiving national recognition from Inc. Magazine.

The publication on Tuesday dropped its yearly Inc. 5000 list, measuring the fastest-growing private companies in the US. All in all, 301 companies from the DC metro region made it onto the list — an increase from the 291 named last year. Another 50 from the Baltimore area were named, as well. In order to qualify, companies need to report three-year revenue growth.

The DC region saw companies place higher on the list than last year, with Leesburg IT Services firm Goldschmitt and Associates ranking at #34. It was closely followed by Tysons security company MOXFIVE at #39. Both represent a pretty big jump from last year when the top contender was RP Professional Services at #74.

Baltimore’s top rank, on the other hand, slid from 2022, when Facet Wealth ranked #46. This year’s top company is Linthicum-based and BWI Airport-adjacent retail tech company Impact Analytics at #275. That company recently nabbed a $10 million raise in late 2022 — one of the largest of that year’s fourth quarter.

On the whole, it’s a pretty respectable showing for the region, as about 7% of the 5000 companies named in this list are from the Baltimore and DC regions. Below, find some of the top tech and tech-related companies that placed:
