HopHacks student hackathon returns to Johns Hopkins this month

Last fall’s HopHacks was the first student-run hackathon at the Johns Hopkins University.
As Technical.ly Baltimore reported, 25 teams were formed during the university’s inaugural, 36-hour hackathon.
While the first HopHacks in September was open only to students attending Johns Hopkins, co-organizer Daniel Swann said the plan is to open this second HopHacks to students from local universities.
HopHacks 2014 commences Jan. 31. 
Swann, 20, also said he and his fellow organizers hope to have about 200 participants at this second hackathon. About 120 Hopkins undergraduates and graduate students participated in September’s hackathon.
