Year three of Comcast‘s Internet Essentials program began Aug. 13. More than 4,500 families in Maryland have used the program to purchase discounted broadband service, at $9.95 per month, since the program’s inception in 2011, according to a press release.
It’s a program Technically Baltimore has reported on previously.
Features of the program this year include increased broadband speeds and expanded eligibility, to include public, private, online and homeschooled students. Find out more about the program, including eligibility requirements for families, at Comcast’s website.
