And the winner is...

The Cybersecurity Association of Maryland, Inc. (CAMI) announced the winners of the 2021 MD Cybersecurity Awards this week.

The 11 award winners were named on September 22 after a dozen judges deliberated about the 87 nominations received.

“The 2021 MD Cybersecurity Awards demonstrates the incredible resiliency of Maryland’s cybersecurity companies, as well as the overall growth of the industry,” said Gregg Smith, CEO of Columbia-based Attila Security and chairman of CAMI. “The winners comprise an elite group of cybersecurity leaders in the State of Maryland, and have contributed immensely to Maryland’s growth as a national cybersecurity powerhouse.”

The companies were chosen for their innovations and contributions to the state’s cybersecurity ecosystem, which has become a growth industry mixing talent that congregates around the federal cyber headquarters at Fort Meade, as well as a new crop of tech companies creating commercial software. During the pandemic, remote work led to a demand for cybersecurity solutions that could protect data and networks in an increasingly digital society, and distributed workforces.
