Here’s a good one for tech people looking to make a difference.
Blue Ridge Labs, the tech-focused arm of the mega nonprofit Robin Hood Foundation, has opened up applications for its Catalyst program.
The program is “a six-month incubation program to help promising social entrepreneurs who are building technology-enabled solutions to help low-income Americans bridge the gap between discovery and acceleration,” according to the organization.
Successful applicants will receive a $50,000 stipend, as well as mentorship from Blue Ridge Labs’ network.
The program has produced some pretty impressive startups, including Propel, an app which makes checking EBT balances easy and simple for users. We ranked Propel at No. 8 in our top Brooklyn startups rankings for 2017.
Applications close Aug. 28.
