First Round Capital’s Dorm Room Fund announced another investment: $20,000 for PennApps-built PageVamp, which turns Facebook pages into websites.
James Datin, executive vice president and managing director of Safeguard Scientifics, resigned last week, according to a release. Datin had been with Safeguard since 2005.

FastFig, the DreamIt Ventures Austin grads that offer an app to do math problems, released new features to its app that allow teachers more control, according to the company blog. The startup is headquartered at Callowhill’s Venturef0rth coworking space.
DuckDuckGo, the Paoli anonymous search engine, launched a mobile app for Android and iOS last week.

WHO’S GETTING BUZZ?
Curalate CEO Apu Gupta has a guest post on Forbes on what the rise of the visual web means for marketers. Curalate marketing lead Brendan Lowry also has a guest post on the same topic, except it’s more of a “how-to” for marketers, on Ad Council.
Speaking of the University City visual analytics firm, Curalate is moving to Ticketleap‘s office space in Center City West next week, Lowry said. Ticketleap will relocate one floor up in the same building. The Curalate team, at more than a dozen staffers, has outgrown First Round Capital’s headquarters, where it had office space since this fall.
Old City’s Artisan Mobile raised $5.5 million in a round led by First Mark Capital and Forbes took note.
