How’s this for product placement?
Amy Hoy, part of the Philly-based pair behind popular bootstrapping conference BaconBizConf, wrote and launched a book in just over 24 hours using the very principles detailed in the book.
“How meta is that?” wrote Hoy’s BaconBizConf partner Alex Hillman in an email earlier this month.
The book — “Just Fucking Ship” — promises to “teach you 21 principles for getting off your butt and finally shipping.” They wrote the book for a 24-Hour Product Challenge and sold 800 copies in less than two weeks, making use of their 8,000 subscriber-strong mailing list.

Wrote Hillman:
Obviously, we have two big goals with this book:
1 – to grow our business. duh.
2 – to grow the bootstrapped product biz community, here in Philly and everywhere.
Startups, schmartups. Bootstrapping = Philly.
