Startup Weekend Philly is next scheduled to be part of Philly Tech Week in April.
A tradition of the Philly tech scene since February 2011, Startup Weekend is a hackathon where participants build startups over the course of 54 hours. The growth of the event in different markets is a sign that the regional tech scene is evolving: Lehigh Valley held its first Startup Weekend last October. Delaware held a Startup Weekend in the fall of 2011.
