Big changes are afoot for Brand.com, a four-year-old company that helps manage online reputations.
Originally founded as Reputation Changer, the company recently purchased the domain Brand.com for a “mid six figure price,” president Mike Zammuto told the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Brand.com also moved its 120 employees from West Chester, Pa., to Philadelphia’s Washington Square neighborhood in hopes of finding more talent, the Business Journal reported. Zammuto said he hopes Brand.com can grow to 200 employees by the end of the year but added that it’s been hard to find talent — a common refrain for growing tech startups in the area.
Brand.com is also not the only startup that has relocated from the suburbs to the city to be closer to talent: smart-home firm BuLogics recently moved from Malvern to East Falls and cited recruiting as a main reason.
The company has also shifted its client base from small businesses and individuals to corporations.
