Movitas, the mobile tech company focused on the hospitality industry, recently relocated to another Philly suburb, but it’s keeping its eye on the global market.
The company moved its 10 employees from Conshohocken to Berwyn, Pa., said president Chuck Sacco. The main reason for the move was because Movitas Chairman Michael McNulty had office space there, Sacco said. But Movitas is moving toward a virtual work model as it focuses on markets outside of the United States.

Here’s what else is new with Movitas:
- It recently raised an undisclosed amount of capital, which is going toward expanding the company’s efforts “south of the border,” Sacco said, “while expanding [its] mobile app capabilities especially in the area of VOIP features. “
- It landed a “significant contract” with Telmex, a major telecomm company in Mexico, to help roll out a mobile app for their hotel customers in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean.
