Creative Mornings, the national “breakfast series for the creative community,” is dedicating its October session to the subject of scaling creative businesses.
On Oct. 13, at the Center / Architecture + Design, Bluecadet founder and CEO Josh Goldblum will serve as the session’s main speaker and will share thoughts around taking solo practices to a full-fledged professional practice with a mid-size team.
“I’ve organized the talk into some stories and lessons that allow a creative professional – or really anyone with a vision for a company – to pivot from a solo practitioner, to a small team, to a small, to mid-size team, some of the pitfalls, risks and inflection points,” Goldblum told Technical.ly in an email.

Goldblum said the chat will also have lessons for those who have no intention of scaling their practice but want to “shape a vision, set goals and push out of what’s expected” of their practices.
The talk comes a year after Goldblum’s Fishtown-based creative agency opened a New York office in a play for both talent and clients.
