Sickweather, the illness-forecasting startup that culls information from people’s Twitter and Facebook updates, has been on something of a media blitz, first popping up on AllThingsD.com, and then receiving a mention on the Today Show on Friday for predicting flu season six weeks ahead of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The Digital Harbor Foundation will officially open its Digital Harbor Tech Center in Federal Hill on Jan. 17. The grand opening is free and open to the public, and students will lead a tour of the new facility.
In venture capital news, Greenspring Associates, with offices in Owings Mills, has joined in the Series B round for Cloud Sherpas, a cloud services brokerage firm formed in 2007, according to CityBizList.
