Unallocated Space is looking to move

Earlier this year, we found lots of room for creativity at Unallocated Space. Turns out, the hackerspace in Anne Arundel County needs even more.
With the space gaining members and capabilities, Unallocated Space launched an Indiegogo page to fund an impending move.
From the Indiegogo:

Our physical space has become a limitation to our continuing growth. As we host larger classes, multiple events simultaneously, and build out our equipment, we’ve literally run out of room!

We caught up with lead organizer Forgotten (that’s what he goes by) at Thursday’s Baltimore Super Meetup, who told us that Unallocated members want a space where holding a class wouldn’t distract from other projects. If all goes well with the Indiegogo campaign, Forgotten said the group would like a location where it was possible to hold two classes at once.
In all, they’re aiming to raise $10,000 for the move, which would cover equipment, transportation and other supplies. The group is also planning to move a large loft that they built in the current space, which will require a forklift.
The volunteer-run Unallocated Space hosts tech classes, and provides tools and room for people to build and tinker. Forgotten and other organizers also frequently appear at local conventions and events to connect with the community.
Even as the Indiegogo camapaign revs up and move plans are drawn, activities keep coming. On Saturday, July 25, Unallocated will host a Dubstep Christmas party.
