The state’s Department of Business and Economic Development announced the four winners of the InvestMaryland Challenge on Thursday.
After last week’s unveiling event was postponed, the announcement was made in a video of DBED Secretary Mike Gill. Each of the grand prize winners gets a $100,000 grant. Another $300,000 will be distributed among 28 other companies.
The two Baltimore-based winners were adtech company Staq and Harpoon Medical, a University of Maryland startup that makes a device that could improve open-heart surgery.
