Here’s who won the InvestMaryland Challenge

Two of the four winners are based in Baltimore.

The state’s Department of Business and Economic Development announced the four winners of the InvestMaryland Challenge on Thursday.
After last week’s unveiling event was postponed, the announcement was made in a video of DBED Secretary Mike Gill. Each of the grand prize winners gets a $100,000 grant. Another $300,000 will be distributed among 28 other companies.
The two Baltimore-based winners were adtech company Staq and Harpoon Medical, a University of Maryland startup that makes a device that could improve open-heart surgery.
