Anyone who’s been to Inner Harbor has likely noticed R2integrated’s logo overlooking Pratt Street. In the coming days, a similar logo is likely to appear in Silicon Valley.
That’s because the digital marketing agency is opening a new office there. It’s the main result of the company’s acquisition of CatapultWorks in a deal announced by the two sides on Thursday. Details were not disclosed.
As a result of the acquisition, R2integrated will add 80 employees. Current CatapultWorks CEO Tom Beck will become president for R2integrated, and run the Silicon Valley office.
CatapultWorks is one of Silicon Valley’s largest marketing firms, boasting clients like Chevron, Citrix and UnitedHealthcare. R2i has clients like Microsoft, Under Armour and MasterCard.
“We share a belief in the power of technology and the execution of data-driven marketing campaigns,” said Matt Goddard, CEO of r2i, said in a statement.
With the announcement, R2integrated officials hinted that they’re expecting another acquisition this year.
The company is headquartered in Baltimore and also has offices in Seattle, New York and St. Louis.
