The first-ever TEDxYouth event is taking place in Baltimore this Saturday at the University of Maryland BioPark.
TEDxYouth events, like traditional TED events, feature a day-long session of speakers on a wide variety of topics. TEDxYouth@Baltimore coincides with other events happening worldwide Nov. 17 and 18 for TEDxYouthDay.

The theme this year — “Dream Big … THEN DO IT! — is meant to give students the chance to tackle something new or learn something different (without having to take a test afterwards).
One of the partners for the inaugural TEDxYouth event in Charm City is the Federal Hill-based Digital Harbor Foundation, which recently launched its BmorePipeline to help high school students in the city find jobs and internships with technology companies.
