Working from home can be a great perk, but it can also get pretty lonely – that’s where coworking spaces come in.
The popularity of coworking has been growing in Pittsburgh since the late 2010s. In fact, earlier this year, the city was ranked No. 9 in the US for coworking density, offering residents 0.8 coworking spaces per square mile, according to a study from CoworkingCafe.
The Pittsburgh landscape, however, is constantly changing. Some popular coworking spaces have closed in recent years, including Code & Supply’s space on Friendship Avenue. Others are thriving, especially in Downtown and the East End, where there’s a higher concentration of these spaces.
Coworking locations aren’t just places for remote workers to find a desk for a day; they can also be spaces to host meetings, gather community and attend relevant events.
