Nine startups trying to solve the problems of city life will set up shop in Brooklyn next week.
Greenpoint-based accelerator Urban-X will host its third cohort of startups (here’s its last cohort, if you’re wondering) in tandem with venture fund Urban Us.
The unveiling will take place at a breakfast event Thursday morning at Urban-X’s home, A/D/O, on Norman Street.

According to the event’s invite, “You’ll be joined by investors and founders as well as public and private sector leaders from New York City,” so it could be a useful event for fresh entrepreneurs to attend and meet some people.
Previous cohort members of Urban-X include: indoor farming startup Farmshelf and data mapping startup Citisense. Urban Us’s portfolio includes the Brooklyn Navy Yard–based energy efficiency startup Radiator Labs and hardware recycling company Revivn.
The event is free and open to the public.
