Solidoodle opens 3D design file sharing competitor for Makerbot

Solidoodle competes with MakerBot on sharing designs.

In a move that will be seen as an attempt to compete with Makerbot‘s Thingiverse filesharing site, Solidoodle has opened up its own place to share 3D designs. For example, you can only print the sheep shown above if you download the design from Solidoodles.com.

More from the Solidoodle blog:

We’ll be sharing all our custom 3D printable models like our little sheep for you to print at home and provide Solidoodlers with a space to share files of their very own. As we expand, expect more custom content and features from Solidoodle just for you.
