Brooklyn’s most radical tech conference returns this fall.
Radical Networks is looking for presentations on topics including offline networks, mesh networks, experimental application of computer networks, networks for political activism and quite a lot more.
“From mass surveillance to the over-commercialization of the World Wide Web, the concept of a free and open Internet is being threatened by corporate interests and over-reaching governments,” according to the conference’s website. “Radical Networks is a festival and a conference, designed to foster critical discussions around these issues and to create opportunities to learn more about policy, DIY networking and the future of the Internet.”

We talked to the organizer of Radical Networks, Sarah Grant, last fall.
“It’s basically like a giant, DIY alternative networking and arts festival,” Grant said in the interview. “We want to introduce the general public to networking technology to help empower them.”
