In Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, colleges and universities offer at least 25 different degrees in game-related fields, according to a list created by Philly’s gaming community. They stray mostly toward video game development.
The programs range from St. Joseph’s University’s certificate in Gaming and Animation to The College of New Jersey’s B.A. in Interactive Media to Drexel University’s Certificate in Learning in Game-Based Environments.
Check out all the programs HERE.
If you know of any others, add them, says Philadelphia Game Lab founder Nathan Solomon, who led the effort to create the list. The Philly International Game Developers Association (IGDA) also contributed, Solomon says.
