Brooklyn venture capital firm Notation Capital announced its latest investment Thursday, in modern recruiting form Clora.
The firm, based in Cambridge, Mass., raised $3.3 million in a round led by Spark Capital.
“The company makes the process of finding and hiring specialized talent dramatically more efficient by combining decades of experience recruiting and hiring professionals in this industry, as well as interesting new data-driven approaches to job matching algorithms,” Notation Capital’s Nick Chirls wrote in a post on Medium Thursday.
In matching labor, especially freelance labor, with companies in a specific industry (Clora focuses on the biotech and pharma world) the company recalls another recently Brooklyn funded one, Wethos, which brings together nonprofit and social justice–oriented companies with freelancers who want to work on socially beneficial projects.
Could this be the new trend in hiring?
